Erica Receives Hub14 residency in Toronto

February 20th-March 5th, Erica will be participate in a Live-In Residency at hub 14 in Toronto. There she and collaborator Coman Poon will conduct research with Toronto based artists and community groups in preparation for their latest performance installation, The Palimpsest Project.
Erica receives Santa Fe Art Institute Residency

This autumn, Erica has been selected to work in residence at the Santa Fe Art Institute. Since 1999, SFAI has enlivened local, national and international discourse on art and society through its residency program. There she will write about her her year long movement research on the Victory Project and continue her creation of the dual channel installation performance for the Cowboys and Vikings Project.
News about Iceland trip
Erica spent September as an artist in residence at NES in Skagastrond, Iceland. In addition to conducting research for the Victory Project, she also began a series of landscape performances called the Vikings and Cowboys Project. Video footage will be uploaded soon, but in the mean time you can see stills from the videos below.

Erica in Iceland August 17th-September 30th, 2011
Erica Mott has been invited to act as artist in residence at NES Arts Center in Skagastrond, Iceland. During her time in residency, she will conduct community based, performative co-research on diasporic cowboy culture and maverick mythology for a the Vikings and Cowboys Project, upcoming in 2011/12.
