Erica in Iceland August 17th-September 30th, 2011
Erica Mott has been invited to act as artist in residence at NES Arts Center in Skagastrond, Iceland. During her time in residency, she will conduct community based, performative co-research on diasporic cowboy culture and maverick mythology for a the Vikings and Cowboys Project, upcoming in 2011/12.

Erica on faculty at Penland School of Craft June 13th -25th, 2010
In a unique collaboration with puppet designer and performer, Clare Dolan, Erica will co-design and teach a course for the Penland School of Craft this summer on Moving Faces: Puppetry and Portraiture. Erica will continue her collaboration with Clare during her upcoming Chicago Dancemaker’s Forum Project.
Iceland residency
Erica has received an NES artist residency in Skagastrond, Iceland this August and September. During this time, I will be creating performative, community based co-research into diasporic cowboy culture and the mythology of ‘mavericks’.
