Admission Free and open to the public

Award winning Chicago-based performance deviser and half of the transnational performance art duo, re[public] in/decency, Erica Mott, presents the short dance film Revised and Revisited followed by a performance lecture on creative re-use of discarded materials and disregarded spaces in performance. Toronto based performance artist/activist, Coman Poon,  and Erica (who collaborate under the name re[public] in/decency) will share their findings over two weeks of research at hub14 into embodied cognition and transgenerational memory for their latest movement installation, The Palimpsest Project. Community discussion will follow.

Revised and Revisited is a performance installation turned dance film by Nadia Oussenko which traces visceral memory and ancestry. Incorporating chalkboards as metaphoric palimpsests, suitcases as stages, dresses as scripts, old records as texts, and family photographs as puppets, Mott uses her signature style of object and space transformation to tell the echo of a story half remembered.
