Gain enlightenment with a simple story about a man searching for a bull that he must capture, tame and ride home. A traditional Zen teaching tool, the story is the core of this new theater work-a contemporary interpretation of a collection of 15th century paintings and their accompanying texts-incorporating live music, full-size puppets, masked actors and a series of screens and curtains with shadow puppetry and projections. Composer Michael Zerang also performs the sound and music, accompanied by percussionist Hamid Drake.

Presented by Blair Thomas and Company.
