Phenomenal musicians and puppeteers remake Pierrot Lunaire Arnold Schoenberg’s breakthrough song cycle about the search for artistic inspiration. Blair Thomas’s evocative puppetry and dreamlike staging, the costumed musicians of eighth blackbird, and new music diva Lucy Shelton bring this stirring, moonstruck landscape to life. The evening also features a new Bunraku puppet staging of Jacob Druckman’s solo marimba work Reflections on the Nature of Water.
