I believe that art and life demand transformation and that we enter into both processes with equal trepidation and wonder. The artistic process provides an equalizing foundation and common vocabulary that holds the potential to transcend social, economic and cultural barriers. I trust that all people benefit from this artistic exchange whether it happens on the street, in their home, in a theater or on a bus. Creative engagement occurs constantly and is only limited by our ability to imagine and witness it. In my workshops, I create a playful environment which is movement-oriented and highly visual. Through the use of known materials and everyday objects (such as plastic shopper bags and one's body) I endeavor to cultivate the creation and seeing of the magical within the mundane.
