Coman Poon is a Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist and activist working throughout North America. He experiments with the collision and synergism between art and social change. With Jordan Tannahill and Jennifer Capraru, he launched MARKIT in 2013 as a renegade intervention and DIY artistic response to community ‘de-homing’. He is the co-founder of re[public] in/decency with Erica Mott, an arts-based think tank that focuses on bridging live art, social justice activism and community development. He is the Artistic Director of hub14, an artist-run live arts incubator and presenter in Toronto and is on the Board of FADO Performance Art Centre.
